"Bharat Product Of Sanatana Dharma": Tamil Nadu Governor Jabs Stalin Junior

Even as the fury over DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's rant against Sanatan Dharma is yet to die down, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on Wednesday said that the successful hosting of the G20 Summit by India, under the theme "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (One Earth, One Family, One Future), has got the world to acknowledge and celebrate Sanatana Dharma like never before. Furlough is a set period of time when a prisoner is allowed to leave a prison. A division bench of Justice Nitin Sambre and Valmiki Menezes directed the release of Gawli on furlough for 28 days after the gangster approached the HC through his counsel Mir Nagman Ali upon the rejection of his application for relief by DIG Prisons (Nagpur). Gawli is undergoing life imprisonment in the central jail here in the 2007 murder case of Mumbai Shiv Sena corporator Kamlakar Jamsandekar. Ali told the bench that the DIG (Prisons) had rejected Gawli's application on the ground that since many offences were registered against the gangster-turned-politician, his release may create a law and order situation. Union Minister Smriti Irani praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the historic day of passing the women's reservation bill in parliament. "It's not only a moment of great joy and jubilation, but it is also a moment of great satisfaction," she told NDTV. Ms Irani criticised the previous Congress government for "allowing the bill to lapse". She said the Congress should "walk the talk". The women's reservation bill sailed through the Upper House this evening, scripting history after decades of roadblocks. It now needs the signature of the President to make 33 per cent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies official. "What smacks of absolute arrogance on behalf of the Congress party then was they had absolute majority in the Lok Sabha. If they desired, they could have passed the bill between 2010 and 2014. They allow it to lapse, and they pontificate why not sooner," Ms Irani said. The bill received unanimous suppo

The question about the prime ministerial face was raised before the 2004 parliamentary polls. "What happened in the 2004 Lok Sabha polls? The UPA came to power and Manmohan Singh became the PM and he remained PM for 10 years", said Mr Yechury. Later
